Our Constitution is clear: Only Congress has the power to declare war. Yet, administrations too often bypass this fundamental check, plunging us into conflicts that cost countless lives, drain our resources, and destabilize entire regions. We cannot allow this to happen again.

Sen. Kaine, Rep. Khanna, and Rep. Massie have introduced a War Powers Resolution. This means they can fast-track an up or down vote on preventing US military involvement in war with Iran. A successful vote could end up limiting involvement, and even a strong showing sends a clear pro-peace message.

Bring our troops home from the middle east and stop sending Israel weapons to the feckless coward who declared war on Iran after committing genocide on half the population of his country and abandoned all in a private jet to Athens.

My concern is not whether the vote shows a "clear pro-peace message" but rather whether it shows Trump and literally everybody that Congress actually wants to retract so many constitutional congressional authorities that it has ceded over to the presidency for generations. The Constitution! Art1, S8
