In Arizona, Indivisibles have been testifying city by city in nonpartisan groups to end Flock contracts and cameras. So far, they’ve successfully kicked Flock out of Sedona, Flagstaff, South Tucson, Douglas, Sierra Vista, and Chandler — and they’re not slowing down anytime soon.

Thank god. I personally think all Flock cameras should go by way of dinosaurs. Extinction. Big brother needs to be shut down now.

Flock cameras are tools of nationwide mass surveillance that threaten our privacy and civil liberties. More than 120,000 Flock cameras are currently tracking, logging, and sharing our movements without consent or a warrant, from major highways to local neighborhoods.

ICE has also asked local police to search Flock’s AI license plate reader, enabling them to target and terrorize immigrants in communities around the country. Thank you to Arizona Indivisibles and everyone across the political spectrum organizing against mass surveillance in their own communities.

#30million8/30 Using the profound legal theory that enough is enough. When will it be enough? No Kings fucked us. 50501 is not organizing mass protests. When do we take it upon ourselves to spread the word about a self initiated mass protest? NATIONWIDE PROTEST 8/30 END FASCISM IN AMERICA!

My hope is that if the Arizona state legislatures get flipped to blue this year (which I hope they do as it has been six decades since Arizona Dems last had their trifecta), they could introduce a bill that would end Flock contracts and cameras in the state, and have that be passed/signed into law.

The Govt. Surveillance Tipping Point #ABlueView🧵 We used to console ourselves that, even though there were increasing numbers of cameras surveiling us in public, no authority had the time to watch all that footage without legit reason (eg, crime) With AI, this is no longer true. #FlockCamera 1/3
