DISCLAIMER: This post contains graphic photos. Men, women, and families are being abused in lawless, cramped, mold-choked facilities in Florida. A horrific new whistleblower report has pulled back the curtain on the dangerous and lawless practices operating inside two federal facilities in Florida.

According to confidential disclosures shared with House Oversight Committee Democrats, ICE "Hold Rooms" in Miramar and Orlando have degenerated into full-blown humanitarian crises. The reality described by those inside is harrowing.

“...ICE is detaining people—including men, women, families, and elderly people with chronic medical conditions—for days to weeks in ...overcrowded cells, prolonged shackling, inadequate access to medical care and hygiene, insufficient food, and limited to no legal access.”

On paper, ICE "Hold Rooms" or “holding facilities” are strictly temporary transit nodes. Because they were never intended for overnight stays, they lack beds or basic hygiene infrastructure. They were designed to hold people for a maximum of 12 hours during transfers between larger facilities.

In June, 2025 ICE extended the amount of time people can be held in these small and unequipped rooms to 3 days. One year later in June 2026, a federal court order reestablished the original 12-hour limits for Hold Rooms. The reality on the ground is far worse than either of those time frames.

Reporting reveals that ICE is routinely violating their own rules. Whistleblower photographs expose severe overcrowding, overflowing restrooms, air vents choked with visible black mold, and human beings forced to sleep on concrete floors or in chains.

Prior to this disclosure, the scale of this obscured network was only traceable through the Data Deportation Project—a research initiative by UC Berkeley and UCLA that utilizes aggressive Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits to map out surging federal immigration enforcement patterns.

Their findings paint a grim picture of a system weaponized to punish, rather than process, human beings in all 50 states. These rooms (around 170 across the US) function as a dynamic shadow layer of the regime’s deadly deportation agenda, using deliberate obfuscation to subvert due process.

They are the exact locations where human beings missing from official ICE databases are hidden, shuffled covertly between ICE flights, transit buses, and known detention camps to keep them off the public radar and out of judicial reach. This cannot be allowed to stand. Shut them all down now.
