Started and got about 50% of the way through Blasphemous over the weekend. Really satisfying souls-coded metroidvania. Awesome sprites, gameplay, and atmosphere (and I hear 2 is even better).

2 IS even better! I love them both, but 2 fixes a lot of my movement gripes like not being able to grab onto ladders consistently

I've definitely felt the inconsistency with the latters, but even that is kind of charming in that it's reminiscent of how unforgiving classic platformers used to be. Regardless, I'd welcome the change in the sequel! 🙌
