Fixed the fix

Hey, just uninstalled and reinstalled and it crashes on opening. Going to reboot my phone

What the heck, all I did was make it so it would cleanup corrupted stored files…

It helps a lot. It eliminates a lot of potential explanations. It’s so bizarre because you’ve eliminated all differences between your setup and a fresh install but this doesn’t happen for other fresh installs…

I can uninstall and reinstall again? Maybe the reinstall bugged out? Video was made after a full reboot too.

Let’s try that for our own sanity. After that I have something I can push out that might help

Looks like it's still crashing

Okay I’ll push out the next idea I have. I think it might be the Android Keystore being corrupted.

Did a reinstall again, not sure if you pushed it or not but its still not working. Tried bluesky as a sanity check and its still working. Will test with my alt phone tomorrow. Thanks for the updates, I'll give it a will again later. If you have a way to send a crash log I'd be happy to send that

Finally got my fix attempt released!

Unfortunately it's still broken, Did a full reinstall, and cache reset etc.

Damn. I’ll have to keep at it.

I forgot to ask, which country are you in? The latest version of the app is only available in US/Canada and we found a lot of people who were having issues were in other countries that had an old version

Cool, yeah I’ll take another swing at it this week. Getting a lot more people has surfaced some more bugs that I have to work on first but I’ll keep coming back to this. I don’t think this is a one-off either we’ve gotten some reports from other Android users of similarly strange issues.

Looks like after an uninstall and reboot it fixed the issue!?
