The idea of finishing a page on something was part of eurocomics as well, since they would be published in periodicals before collected into albums. Also, when collected into albums, they’d adjust pages to fix plot or pacing issues so it reads better as a book.

I talk about it a little in my next newsletter, but there really aren't a lot of cartoonists still blogging? That sphere is pretty much listicles, reviews, beginner marketing advice, and... press releases. Which is fine- they all have their place. But it isn't what /I/ want, lmao

I miss when I could crack open my bookmarks and read posts specifically aimed at cartoonists already engaged in their field. There was a lot of that during the big GN boom I feel, especially tool reviews? But that's pretty much nonexistent now. With webcomics being so massive now though... Cmon!!

oh lmfao. well i finished it since then and it is a very good post!! the chunk readers outnumbering the dailies shocks me, i've always been a daily and it only takes missing like, two updates for me to completely fall off something (have not fallen off UV though)
