I swear, every single tech/app company has simultaneously forgotten how to even do simple shit, like type in a box. Twitch will sometimes just randomly forget that something has been typed, bsky has no idea how to add alt text… I wonder if it could be related to anything happening, generally?! 🤔

Seriously. Another example: the web interface for Google Keep (their note-taking platform) now occasionally jumps your text entry cursor from the end of an existing line to the start when you begin typing

but sure, everybody start smoking, because I'm sure a cure for cancer is just around the corner. Maybe after we knock that out, we can turn super intelligence back on the *really* hard problems facing our species: typing characters into a fucking box.
