trick question: scientific journals are inherently a scam

Zach Weinersmith@zachweinersmith.bsky.social

If you had an AI that could competently check scientific papers for problems, what would you guess is the rate of the following [assume non-scam scientific journals]: 1) outright fraud 2) incorrect use of stats 3) errors that overturn conclusion 4) claiming sources say stuff they don't say

also why say "a competent AI" when you could just as easily say something more fun like "the Oracle of Thebes" or "a genie"
