Settle an argument: what is an integration test, and is that the same as an end-to-end test? Secondly, is testing a React component a "unit test"?

Way too many replies without the word “sociable” coming up. The word “unit” is grossly over constrained by most developers. martinfowler.com/bliki/UnitTe...

martinfowler.combliki: Unit TestUnit Tests are focused on small parts of a code-base, defined in regular programming tools, and fast. There is disagreement on whether units should be solitary or sociable.

I’m struggling to find the source, but I go by these rules. Integration tests do at least one of: use the network use a database use i/o cannot run in parallel
