The Welcome Decks in the PAX West swag bag is what got us back in the game. I’d argue that ended up with a positive ROI for WotC :P Anyways, throw these in every major nerd convention for the next year and I assume that’ll likely double the player base :P

We shared the new Welcome Deck face cards and decklists earlier this week, but here's a refresher for those who missed it! See the full #MTGxSpiderMan decklists here: magic.wizards.com/en/news/feat...

Just imagining all the new baby content creators getting into the Magic space and LRR having to send Beej to break their kneecaps when they don't pass on your cut.

1000% - the experience at the Hard Rock Hotel was DELIGHTFUL. Had the chance to help someone learn to play for the first time and it was, lack of a better term? Magic.

No way to buy them at retail. Another "you have to be special" product from WotC... 🙄

That was always the idea with welcome decks. You’re meant to go down to your LGS and grab one at new player events.

I haven't talked to any LGSs who were able to order them. Also, assuming everyone has an LGS is unintentionally ignorant. I only sell online. For a lot of people, I am their LGS, because they live in a small community, in the middle of nowhere, or in an area where even the LGS is not a safe space.
