Finished up Ted Lasso tonight. I know this season hasn’t been everyone’s favourite, and I have my criticisms to be sure, but what this show lacks in focus, it more than makes up for in heart, and I’m more willing to make that sacrifice right now. We need more heart.

I don't think it was without its high points and it was fun for my mum and I to sit down and watch with the dog but I think it's more that it fails SO hard in comparison to the almost perfect previous 3 seasons and it's disappointing bc they ended the 3rd season well they didn't NEED this -

I think I would have liked it more if they'd had more confidence in the new stuff and ket this season stand MORE on its own merits, characters, and plot and kept more of the s1-3 major characters out of it and kept to the kind of cameos and nods they did with like Sam and the rest of the team.

(potential spoilers below but I assume folks have stopped reading already if they care -) The coupley-relatded plots really seemed like they were stretching stuff. Roy and Keeley were kinda insufferable IMO and to a lesser extent Rebecca's too -

The club control storyline was awful. Otherwise, I didn't have any major complaints. I enjoyed back to basics! I really don't want a season 5, but rumors are swirling that it's already gearing up preproduction. Presumably, all the women players signed 3 season deals so it is cost controlled.
