Bit of a Dark Pattern I spotted today in Duolingo! Duolingo doesn't tell you the price of its premium subscriptions until you finish the trial period, it doesn't even advertise its prices on the web. Very strange and not something I've ever seen an app do

Duolingo is just gamification on steroids! After finishing the Italian course I cancelled my subscription - there’s a ceiling on how much you can learn from it. I also wasn’t happy with their (now partly retracted) ambition to generate all of their courses with A.I.

Yeah there does seem to be a big push with AI on there. I've just started a German language course so seeing how it goes!
