I think the actual answer to this is "get a polarization filter for your camera", IIRC

Going have to look into this. Just something you buy to put over the lens of the web camera?

I'd say check if that is actually a thing, and it might be more of a studio type thing where you have more control of the light positioning and can add a lens filter. Unsure how well it would work with most webcams though.

OHH haha explains why I wasn't getting a lot on that first search. I have a video call about once or twice a month where I care if my eyes show and I always think "man i wish i figured something out before I have to start this call in a min"
