I just tried this and indeed I could not add the TransRights nor TransRightsAreHumanRights tags to my stream. I had the TransRights tag until I went to change my tags and I got the moderation message below, after which it was gone. (Thread)

I tried to re-add the TransRights tag on both mobile (iOS) and desktop Desktop: it would not let me add the tag at all Mobile: I could add the tag, and it looked like it saved it, until I tried tapping on “Done” on the overall stream settings page, at which point I got the moderation message again

I can’t say when this these moderation decisions came into effect since I had the tag on my channel for ages. I also can’t say that it’s implemented in every region, but it is affecting me in Canada.

Lastly, I don’t know how automated these moderation decisions are. I don’t know if there’s a person or persons deciding the master list of forbidden tags or if it’s automated. Both are bad, but I can see people gaming an automated system to get certain tags banned.

I was skeptical at first because I knew I had the TransRights tag set, but when I went to change my tags it automatically got rid of it when I tried to save. I don’t like sharing stuff like this because often it’s overblown but since I verified it on my own account I feel comfortable doing so.
