Everyone stop suggesting adding AI-powered chat to websites. They're fine at regurgitating the info in your FAQs, but that's about it. Any actual questions or deeper troubleshooting, they're useless. But there's no person to contact, so it's a net negative.

Since posting this, I've interacted with two more AI chat bots. They both got caught in loops suggesting the same advice that didn't solve my problem. Every one I've interacted with has been roughly the same. Which is to say, maddeningly unhelpful.
