i quite like the look of this github.com/brandeis-con... a lightweight durable execution engine for RAP. AIF like stop-and-go error recovery to custom SAP business objects, minus the heavy complexity of a BPA or WF engine.

durable objects are a solid backend for this, one object per workflow instance gives you stop-and-go state without hand rolling a saga pattern. the gotcha is keeping each step idempotent across resumes or a retry double fires side effects
