Said it before and I'll say it again: A real problem with the legal profession's cultural norm of venerating the Supreme Court is that the legal profession never contemplated that there might someday be a justice as dumb as Brett Kavanaugh on it

This is a challenge for legal media, too: It's pretty common for journalists to discuss members of Congress as dunces and/or wingnuts. But Supreme Court pundits aren't used to writing things like "Kavanaugh, a Dumb Guy, argued X," even though it would absolutely help readers understand cases better!
