Not sure I can think of 5 games from this year that I care about

Pokopia might be my top game this year, which is kinda wild but it was also such a rad game.

Did that new Rhythm Heaven happen?

Splatoon Raiders is my surprise of the year. Played over 40 hours. It's a nearly perfect striped down looter. Short levels, constant loot, lots of build options, and a nearly endless endgame.

My mind drifts back to Yoshi and the Mysterious Book a lot more than most games I’ve played this year

Forza Horizon 6 domination!

I haven't bought a Nintendo game all year for whatever reason, still chugging along with TotK. What stands out to you?

I still haven't checked out Pokopia yet, come to think of it, but I've been thinking of this year as the Year of Capcom

Apparently the only games I played this year from 2026 were Retro Rewind, Cairn and Star Wars: Zero Company. Big end of the year with Control Resonant and Silent Hill Townfall. My most played time is going to be in something dumb like Satisfactory.

Personally was surprised how much I enjoyed the heck out of Pokopia

It's hard to make a personal top 10 list when I probably only finish like, 12 or so games that release in a given year, lol. It ends up being less "what are the best games this year" and more "what games did I play this year."

I finished those exact same games. All pretty great. Cairn probably top for me as I finished it twice. I'm sure you understand why.

despite 35 years of being maybe 80 percent of a full on dan style nintendo fanboy I just havent enjoyed any of their stuff since odyssey (except metroid prime 4, that was fine)

Every year ending in a “6” is always Nintendo’s year.

I still chuckle at everyone freaking out on the Switch 2 $449 launch price, and now at $500 that thing looks like a bargain compared to what Sony and Microsoft offer.

Our bodies were ready for and pleasured by Nintendo.
