And as you point out, everyone in PC is rich & none work. They rewrite history yet call EK ‘the historian.’ Really?

Oooh love what you did with Labor Day and labor on GH. Hadn’t ever paused to think about it, but you’re right that they’re not using people’s jobs on the show the way they used to and everyone’s doing just fine financially. Hard to worry about Britt, the doctor, not having $5 for cab fare.

First off, whew, thanks for this; after last week, I was worried that you might've thrown in the towel. And second, I appreciate the wealth/labor analysis. (NB: I guess Britt also had some fiscal troubles recently, but that was short-lived.)

You're right! And also right that they were *extremely* short-lived. She went from having $5 to landing a fresh sublet courtesy of Felicia in the span of a few days. (I'm not going anywhere!)

Truthful analysis on the economic makeup of onscreen Port Charles - often ludicrous but the writers play it straight. One of the worst #GH flaws is the seeming mandate that "the characters are little more than pawns meant to be pushed between predetermined points". You hit that one on the head.

Thanks so much! I think a lot about that economic stuff — probably more than I ought to, given how silly the show can be.
