My least favorite part of sweeping the floor is figuring out where the dust pan is and reasoning out why it was nowhere near the broom -- hopefully nobody walks through my dust pile before this riddle is solved.

The root of the problem seems to be that we have 4 brooms and only 3 dustpans, and one of those dustpans is missing, despite all of the dustpans being capable of clipping directly onto the broom handle.
