I always do that exaggerated with teeth. I dislike pointy teeth. I much prefer toony round ones :)

I've found this. For teeth, claws, horns and even long tails, it all feels more 'solid' for there to be a tapered end rather than a fine razor-thin endpoint.

.......sometimes you want less volume spent on a mouth. And there is nothing wrong with a piece being flat. "Just like God made me" -Veronica Mars, when asked if she had a flat

Especially easy to transition when you use a vector layer and just erase the lines past the crossing points

This is such a small detail that makes a big difference! For artists who may need further reference; I highly recommend studying real-world animals for more examples like this!
