I really hope someone at Microsoft who cares sees your post. It's an accurate reflection of the reality of MS in 2026. Intitially it's a slightly depressing read, but on the positive side, it's so valuable to learn tips and techniques and recognise the awesome community contributions. Thanks!

Thanks for the words. That is the hope that someone out there at Microsoft reads it and rethinks things. Sometimes I feel that the blog world for Microsoft is way too positive.

The deployment side has a second 26H2 gap: it ships as an enablement package, GA per the Windows blog, and admins report Autopatch devices pinned to 25H2 that took 26H2 anyway. Community reports, not confirmed by Microsoft. Worth re-checking your feature update policy before the settings matter.
