Really impressive how none of these people managed to grow up even a little bit in the years since the facepunch forums closed down. Just perpetually stuck in the mid-2000's toxic internet asshole mindset.

PUNT, since Valve went silent on us after we signed our release agreement and never signed their end... three times 🫠 store.steampowered.com/app/507500/P... (i am extremely early in working on it - had a seriously rough year mental health and work wise)

that suuucks. If you find you wanna pay someone to port it for you to unreal at any point i might be available, I've ported things from source a few times (including entity i/o etc)

i remember kenney giving them an honest shot a couple months back and then quickly getting swamped with "uhhh those guys are shitheads". guess kenney found that out direct from the source too! absolutely astounding to be massive shitheads to a big contributor of free game assets.

garry is in favour of shit like this, pro-ice stuff, pro-trump stuff, all the worst stuff. it's honestly a blessing that he's being so open with it around now - makes it very easy to dodge the bullet of getting involved in what on its face was a promising engine at one point

The naive may think none of that matters when making a game engine / UGC-thing but as it turns out, showing poor judgement and a lack of empathy means they have poor judgement and lack empathy!

I had *some* genuine interest in s&box before as a viable alternative to the other big engines and now I'm very disappointed after finding this out

man i just thought the sausage avatars looked ugly as sin and that trying to un-sourcify source 2 was really idiotic. im glad i avoided all that shit but its honestly really surprising and kind of disappointing to find out they werent just hacks but chuds too.

They came across as a very blokeish company as a culture and you saw glimpses with the staff on sites like Twitter and put me off the company. Guess lot worse on the likes of discord where it’s less visible to the wider world.
