on this point in particular: egs sales are so bad it's common for devs to share and compare out of disbelief, and often what you find is quite popular games are selling only in the double or triple digits of copies last i checked, my game had sold (drum roll please) five

it's only sold 1442 on steam. but come on. five???

I've collected a bunch of free games on EGS; I've functionally used it as a demo system, and if I like the game, have bought it elsewhere (Steam / Playstation).

i've seen a few games that i wanted when they were excluisive on egs, and the occasional free game i'd like, but the idea of installing it on my PC feels like deliberately stepping in a cow turd

heads up, you can buy and play games on the egs without using their terrible app. Heroic Game Launcher will handle it. Also does gog and amazon if you have games from them. Lacking for gog compared to galaxy though
