2026 really seems to be the year of the dead internet. It could just be my personal experience on reddit, but what was once a place of discussion and disagreement in the comments is now flooded with consistent coordinated messages from newish accounts.

I like places like blusky where I can follow journalists and get direct sources. I don't know if we're all prepared for how effective coordinated campaigns by anonymous accounts is going to be.

I hope people retreat from places that are subjected to these coordinated attacks because it'll just become useless noise. Maybe this is an opportunity for something else, but I hate that the something else is also barreling toward a verified identity internet.
