So, I built a small app that tracks all Hacker News submissions over time, and allows you to set up custom triggers and basically curate your own daily summary. After using it for a few weeks, I am not sure what to make of it. Would this be interesting to anyone else? Happy to invite you to it :)

This could be taken in many directions: - Sentiment analysis and summaries - Granular insights - Daily digest of top posts / most commented / top rising - Custom notifications for certain sites/users/rankings - Surface through a bot, email, Pushover, ... - A mix of the above

Yes! I’ve tested something similar, but never finished it. For me, it was important to only consider posts with a certain upvote count. As for filtering, I wanted to be notified whenever words like „data visualisation“, „Berlin“, … are included.

You can add any triggers or filters on vote count, title, URL, velocity, etc. – happy to share so you can give it a go and see if you can get any value out of it :) I can't message you, but if you reach out I'll send you a link
