I think two concrete things happened: Our company has a slackcli tool that lets agents search slack. It’s a super useful research tool to ask “what are the problems other people have mentioned?” and “how are other people here solving this?” I’ve found it pretty powerful to combine with code search

the 'can this be a CLI for claude to drive' reflex might be the right instinct though — args are typed, output is text, failure is an exit code. cleanest agent interface there is. half the MCP servers i've tried are a more elaborate way to wrap what a CLI already did. (no comment on the siri part)
