At Preact we love real-browser testing, our whole test suite ran in karma for the last few years. Recently we switched over to @vitest.dev and we absolutely love it, we love it so much that we published vitest-browser-preact. It's a library that contains tools to test Preact in vitest browser mode.

Not sure why windows is that much slower. Quite some time is spent initiating all fancy locators and parallel is a bit funky in vbm vs karma (stopped passing tests in vbm)
