Totally resonates. I agree with a lot of DHH’s talk, but it just felt like entirely the wrong venue. If not there, you got only that keynote. Without the energy of the following talks and interactions, it’s a bizarre vibe you’re left with about the future of Rails

the talk didn't fit the setting and didn't do a good job of arguing for what it argued for. my views on AI are complicated, but I don't feel like I'd have got much from that talk even if I was much closer to his position.

It's pretty obvious. He's done with Rails. And that's ok. Strange way of asking for leave, though. He could just go. Maybe he wants someone to kick him out?
