As #ResidentDoctors begin a 5-day strike for pay restoration, #NHS patients are standing with them ⬇️ Doctors are asking for £22/hr - the same as they earned 2008 in real terms. We know fair pay for doctors is in patients’ interests - share if you agree.

If labour rejoined the customs union & single market reversing the damage of Brexit and taxed the super rich then we could all have a pay raise and end the cuts to public services. Agree £22 fair pay for doctors. End austerity now!

Doctors have been treated very badly in the past but Labour took the first steps to address this. What they have been offered, compared to wages in general, is generous. Arriving back to previous levels will take time. This strike could lose them the support of the public.

I agree but which services do we cut to finance the pay increase? We are in a bad way regarding public services. Look at SEND in education. I am not saying Labour are right but merely stating what money there is in the public sector has to be shared.
