"But what about the tourism?" Yes, how will we cope with all the new stately homes opened to the public? We'll be like Paris, and nobody goes on holiday there.

We should replace them, as head of state, with an actor. Like James Bond or Doctor Who. If their ratings go down or there's a scandal we swap them out for the next one. As idiots keep saying, the king is "only ceremonial", so make that the job.
