Weird how taking a break from writing novels has made me a better novelist. I opened my book that I last looked at in 2021 and saw exactly how to fix it. And it felt good.

I don't think I've been doing anything in particular to improve my novel writing except reading a lot of old favourite books and writing games, and somehow, that's worked?

I found developing RPG scenarios very good for learning to plot better.

Makes sense. Reading old favorites trains your ear on rhythm and voice without you noticing. And games loosen up the pressure so the writing muscle just moves. Sounds like a solid quiet method. Keep going.
