This is the kind of stuff that makes me excited for this set. Graham is so excited for this that it’s making me excited for it and I know nothing about Star Trek.

If I could make some recommendations about drinks at the PPR, you'd make a lot of Trekkies happy if you had: Root Beer (Quark & Garak) Prune Juice (Worf) Something lime green (Scotty & Data) Something electric blue that you could call Romulan Ale Coffee (call it Raktajino) Earl Grey tea

I feel like a n00b (which I am), but how is this card intended to be used? Is the idea that you keep it out for a few turns to generate some tokens, and then kill it off somehow (maybe just attack) so you can use the tokens?

not the intended game plan but consider: voltron deck pumping quark where if they kill him, you now have access to a million extra mana

Probably, but a lot of mechanics over the years have cared about artifacts being on the battlefield, like affinity, improvise, and metalcraft. So while it's too early to know how this plays with other Trek cards, it's a unique synergy piece in constructed.

I hadn't noticed it's *every* upkeep. 4 free artifact tokens every turn cycle. Quark is basically a Moat when you've got 8 or 12 treasures on the battlefield. Who wants to attack into him when it means giving that player access to 8, 12 or more mana on their next turn?

Oh! I hadn't caught that either! That actually could be decent! I usually play 1v1, so I often forget about the value in normal commander games.
