‘Bristol Flagger’ and associated reprobates have brazenly reported that they have put flags up in Southmead. They have never asked me, a democratically elected representative of that ward, for my thoughts. So I say this - your divisive symbolism is not welcome on council owned property...

…I am particularly annoyed about this as I submitted a report on FixMyStreet in August how these flags are distracting and hazardous to road users. Mine wasn’t the only report…

…As a patriot, I was tolerant of these 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 flags when the FIFA world cup was on. But enough is enough. There is no demcratic mandate for these flags. They are being put up on council property without permission to divide communities. Firm action needs to be taken against the perpetrators.
