Participated in a #BasisLoadTest @basisvr.org, which is an open source, social VR framework that got 200+ people and 1630 people + bots into a single instance. Self/hosted instances make it feel like the early days of the Internet & what High Fidelity aspired to do but with VRChat culture to do it.

I was amazed to be getting 90 fps in a packed instance! Yes, more opti avis than VRC, but still, impressive. The interface was also surprisingly mature, complete, and intuitive. FBT just worked.

Yeah, the Basis Load test was the closest I've felt to what it feels like a IRL industry conference with a lot of people that I run into within the hallways. Serendipitous collisions are a lot harder when a gathering is split into different 80-person instances. Felt like the happening place to be.
