This might be a bad idea (who the fuck am I kidding it’s an awful idea, but it’s an idea and I can’t shift it), won’t have time to code it for tomorrows game but will be able to for sat/sun. Idea: Locked to the chair for the duration of the game. Zapped for every goal scored (including pens)

Need to flesh out the idea a bit. Double check fetching live scores from the game. But it’s an idea. If there’s interest I’ll work on it in my spare time during the week so it’s ready for Sat/Sun

It's an excellent idea. It would be easy to record a game and then go back to isolate the sounds of the goal horn. Use Audacity to get a spectrum of the horn. Create some op-amp filters or just use a Raspberry Pi to some signal processing. When the horn sounds, send the signal to the power box.

Oh, with a list of Bad Words such as "penalty" or "Goal." Short zap for "minor penalty", long zap for "major penalty." I used to play hockey. I wanted a shock collar or shock jock for my friends in the stands to hand out a zap for every goal against. Yeah, I was a goalie.

Here's another idea: record a section of the game when the only sounds are skates and stickhandling, and characterize those. Again use a Raspberry Pi to detect those and activate the power box. Why yes, of course I'm talking about a hockey game. Yeah, a goalie jock would go well with that.
