While I’m very excited for recent Deno developments, and extremely grateful they exist in the ecosystem, this pitch line perfectly encapsulates why I struggle to use Deno - legacy codebase I maintain? Node - fun side project for 1 user? Bun I want the universal incumbent or max instability and fun

Deno is back on Bluesky! 🥳 Also their new website (deno.com) looks great and finally has benchmarks against Bun, now that Deno 2.9 pulled ahead in most of them. I also love the line in the header: "Faster than Node; more stable than Bun."

I'd argue using deno is more fun to use in a new project because everything's built-in (linter, formatter, type checker, testing, opentelemetry, benchmarking, now desktop) and I don't have to reach for third party libraries and add a bunch of config files for each.

I think if you haven't used Deno in a while you should give it another shot. It's gotten so much better in the past few months and imo the devex is now so much better than bun.
