almost got infected by the recent malware shit thats happening on the arch aur, some package i had got sniped but only after i did my last system update im fucking dodging bullets out here

Yeah, it pays to also read over the changesets of any packaging updates since the last build. I still use an AUR helper, aurutils, but I also read over diffs for every package I update. Very important to pay attention to that, unfortunately. :/

I don't think I have any of the packages, I can run that checker anyway. I found out from checking my inbox and finding hundreds of deletion requests filed automatically against all the compromised packages. A few orphans done manually as well.
