Lula won. We won. Democracy, the Amazon, freedom, all won. Despite all interference, mayors impeding buses to bring people to vote, violent threats and acts, people being murdered, changes in electoral districts without notice, we still won.

And I hope we can continue fighting for a more just world. And that billionaires and tech bros can be held accountable for their misdeeds. We can breathe a little more, but fight won't stop. The world still has a lot of enemies to beat. And may fascists be carried to the sewers of history.

And these are the numbers. Lula got 64M votes against 59.7Mfor Flavio Bolsonaro, and 30M abstentions. Compared to the first round, Lula had 53.8M and Flavio had 56M, with 33M abstentions. This time, undecided and those who abstained were the focus of Lula's campaign, especially elders.

While we don't have the demographics yet, a lot of news articles and social media posts show elders going to vote even though they're not obliged to (vote is compulsory but people over 70 is exempted, only go vote if they want to). Looking forward to seeing the detailed data on this!
