It is still wild that complete control over the size of different UI elements isn't considered a bare-bone feature in games in 2026 when the potential variance in screen size is what it is.

Thank you for this article. This is a problem that has made me skip games in the past. My best solution has been a portable screen and reading glasses, but this is not my preference. I think maybe they're designed for like a computer screen and distance? But I think that would still be bad.

A reason for me to hold off on it then. I had so many issues trying to read Dragon Dogma 2's tiny text that I stopped playing despite how fun it was. I don't know if they've updated that yet but I just want to be able to see text in games when I play on my TV.
