Well yeah, because Trump doesn't believe "peons" need or deserve nice parks or rec areas. He believes only the rich deserve that stuff.

He thinks all public spaces belongs to him to do with what he wants, which is give it away to the wealthy, because he's president and congress just does nothing to correct it.
