Of course, the whole interaction felt staged and odd. Zelensky is a hero. The US needs to honor their agreements.

Trump and his ilk only measure gratitude in capitulation, and it's rarely ever symmetric. Anything less is a betrayal to them. Every service they provide is measured. Every donation, a future obligation to be called upon when and how they choose.

TFG was all pissy-mad because President Zelenskyy wasn't gushing all over him with extravagant gratitude for things President BIDEN had done. TFG has to be petted and patted and praised for excellence and wonderfulness in things he never even did. He's a petulant 3-year-old with presidential power.
