This was a really nostalgic playthrough even though I never played Soul Reaver before. The vibes, storytelling, and world were supremely cool.

The gameplay was also decent but a little held back by some design choices and an over reliance on block puzzles. The remaster also had a number of bugs (some that can soft lock you if you didn't save on multiple files frequently) and performance hitches when going into new areas.

Overall, I'm really glad to have experienced this cult classic. I am eager to check out 2 at some point.

I'd honestly love Soul Reaver to get reimagined or a new entry in the series to be produced.
