so in short C++26, and C++ in general, is dead now? either they change it and kill it, or cancel it and kill it, but either way everybody who actually works on it is not behind it anymore no matter what choice they're forced to make, so whatever might be called C++26 isn't in truth.

That's quite the dramatic opinion. The contracts proposal is renowned for being broken and half baked, and the committee voted accordingly. www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg... Odds are contracts will be pulled from the draft and moved back to the drawing board, and C++26 will be approved.

that's kinda sad like I didn't even name drop I just said c++26 are you really searching all mentions of for this absurd campaign. don't you have anything better to do, like at least try and make an actually serious alternative proposal?
