I initially wanted a separation between the name I used personally/in TTRPG spaces and the name I use in my day job. I guess it was a protective thing, so I didn't have to worry about my clients finding my game?? I guess?? But the longer that went on, the less I felt like myself at work.

I've *never* really liked my given name (sorry Mom & Dad), particularly how unique it is. There are other things I don't like about it, but the main thing I remember from being a kid is being *so* envious of my friends with common names

(who were jealous of me having a unique name, guess the grass is always greener)

Looking back, there was gendered stuff there too that I guess I didn't understand or have a name for
