2. Draw lines that go from the edge of the art to the edge of its paper;

3. Draw the lines on the reverse side of the mat, indicating where the border needs to be cut;

4. Put the print on top of the mat board. The lines on the mat should be slightly closer together than the lines on the print corners. This indicates that when you cut the mat, it won’t be too big. I wasted a lot of mat boards before I figured this out, misjudging the sizes I needed to cut!
