I wonder: A significant but unstated goal of instability re:Iran is to induce a recession and increase inflation. Hits middle and working classes hard with no consequences for the oligarchs. Pay back debt (having spent like drunken sailors for decades) with less valuable "dollars".

Given my (thankfully rare) experience of people engaging in destructive power games (my career has involved small groups of computer software developers), it would be interesting to read about human relations in deep history. When it happens it is extremely destructive.

In deep history it's more mixed than in the current societies in which most of us live. The good news is that even today there is a mix of societies and some have fewer of the destructive power games that almost everything in North America includes. Check out my book, & let me know what you think.
