Has anyone else noticed that the *State* is no longer actually representative of the *people* but has became a rogue entity acting under a pretense of representation while serving the agenda of a select few?

Oui monseur! I remember when this particular "state" (and with recent events in mind I use that term rather loosely) was inconsistently, somewhat supportive of some members of our population. A bit naive, I saw us moving hesitantly and inconsistently in a positive direction. I miss those days.
