Speaking as your local democratic party treasurer, when you donate $100 to us through ActBlue, we receive $98.50 and when you cut us a direct check, we receive 100 percent of it.

We found that as of right now 73% of your campaign donation goes back to the consultants and vendors (!!!), four times more than just 20 years ago. Only 13% to ads. Even I was shocked.

This election, we used that money to support local campaigns directly, organized social events, and paid for full time workers to organize canvassing and training. Find your local party and get involved.

The real value however comes from the countless hours of volunteering and organizing from our neighbors who share a vision for a better Ohio

Serious suggestion: Act Blue should give the donor the option to double their donation in exchange for not receiving any more cringey, sweaty, begging, desperate, pathetic requests for even more donations. I think people would gladly do that.
