The Lichess Board Editor now supports importing board positions from images! Available now on lichess.org/editor and coming soon to mobile.

Lichess is using the ChessQ Lite V4 (huggingface.co/joelseytre/c...) model under the PolyForm Noncommercial (github.com/JSeytre/ches...) license.
